#187

#187, Pearse Street, Dublin

Once again, it's time for me to hit the road. This time I'll be taking my trusty accordion, camouflage sleeping bag, and pair of red patent leather high heels cross-country for a month on the road with Balthrop, Alabama. I hope to take advantage of the wireless in the van (a technological advance I still don't understand) and keep the updates fresh, but if it's a little quieter around here, you'll know why. As always, I hope you'll still stop by to see me. Expect a few lags here and there as I try to keep things running smoothly, but know that the numbers will keep on coming. So don't be a stranger, Camus.

If you live in the U.S., we're casting a wide net this time around, so chances are good we'll stop by your town. Check out the list of tour dates and see if we'll be in your neck of the woods. Be seeing you anyway, one way or another. Till then, the van awaits. Load 'em up!

I see you'll be in Portland. I used to frequent the Saturday (and Sunday) Market. I think they moved it from under the west end of the Burnside bridge to some other place on the river front. You should check it out. Lots of art, crafts, food and music. If you can't be good then be careful. Above all be good to yourself. Have a safe trip.

Red patent leather high heels are obvi a must for every camping trip.

did you pack Mr. Kerouac's book for the ride cross country? (Do you LIKE On the Road? I find it a bit monotonous, myself.)

Have fun & keep singin', girlfriend!

Thanks, all. So far, so good. We just spent the day here in Pittsburgh pool-side and will surely rock out tonight at Howler's Coyote Cafe. Yeeaw!

Pierre - thanks for the trip. We will in fact be in Portland for the weekend. Hope to check out the market.

Jackie - it may not surprise you then that after loading in the van, I hopped on a friend's bike to pedal back home to get my boots. Girl can't stomp without some serious boots.

And Adam - fingers crossed for a Paris date someday. :sigh:
