#352

#352, Brooklyn

If there was some kind of memo circulating about changing the official Xmas colors from red and green to pink and purple, I'm just gonna sit here with my hot port and slippers and good book and be grateful I didn't see it. Bah. Humbug.

Hm.

Radge - At least the seven-year-old girls will like it.

Designslinger - Poor things look like William Wegman's dogs. I'll have to see how their friends at the New York City Public Library, Patience and Fortitude are dressed this season.

Now Lord knows I detest a pink and purple wreath along with you. But the Catholic-School-For-14-Years in me immediately feels compelled to wonder if the wreath is meant to display the colors of Advent--like the candles on those Advent wreaths at RC Churches. Doesn't excuse the decorating choice, mind you. Just illuminates some of the madness, perhaps.

Who decided that red and green were Christmas colors? Not that I mind. Maybe someone who had a holly farm.

Jackie - Good call. I remember I never did get a satisfactory answer for what was up with that pink candle on the 3rd week.

Pierre - Ah, it was probably those pagans.

Very sad and droopy looking wreath.
